Grant Funding Specialists
Funding for the Future of Rural Food & Agriculture
From processing facilities to value-added products, we help rural food and agriculture businesses secure the grants that make growth possible.
Program 1
USDA Value-Added Producer Grant (VAPG)
Competition is expected to open the first quarter of 2027. The Value-Added Producer Grant program helps agricultural producers develop and expand value-added products and create new markets. We assist with every stage of the application — from defining your value-added activity to crafting a compelling business plan narrative that meets USDA requirements.
VAPG offers two grant types: Planning Grants (up to $75,000) for feasibility studies and business plans, and Working Capital Grants (up to $200,000) for operational expenses directly related to producing and marketing a value-added product.
Who This Is For
- Farmers and ranchers creating new products from raw commodities
- Agricultural cooperatives and producer groups
- Beginning farmers and socially disadvantaged producers
Program 2
USDA Meat & Poultry Processing Expansion Program (MPPEP)
MPPEP grants support the expansion of independent meat and poultry processing capacity in the United States. This program is ideal for existing processors looking to expand or new facilities seeking to enter the market.
We help applicants navigate the technical requirements and build a strong, competitive proposal — from project scoping and eligibility review through final submission.
Who This Is For
- Independent meat and poultry processors
- New processing facility developers
- Cooperatives and local food system organizations
